Check for context factors PLUS output of billable GOPs or MBEGs
Functions of the Context-Grouper
Many hospitals are confronted with the question of whether a patient case can be admitted as an inpatient or treated as an outpatient. The context grouper answers this question in a matter of seconds!
The query is carried out in two steps. First, the planned or current main procedure is entered and a check is made as to whether there is a reference to the following catalogs:
- AOP according to § 115b SGB V
- Hybrid-DRG according to § 115f SGB V
In a further step, an extended input screen opens if the service is related to the AOP or Hybrid-DRG catalog. Other relevant factors such as diagnoses, accompanying procedures, degree of care, patient age etc. can be entered.
The Context-Grouper responds with a total of four possible scenarios. This gives you the greatest possible certainty when assigning the case to the inpatient or outpatient area.
- If the case has no context factors, you will receive all billable GOP codes for your billing!
- If the case has soft context factors, you will receive the corresponding MBEGs for your billing!
