Functions of the G-DRG analysis

The G-DRG analysis is based on the DRG statistics of the Federal Statistical Office. These economic key figures show the DRGs and their case numbers as well as the case mix index and the average length of stay for each district based on the patients’ place of residence. This data is available from 2006 onwards.

On the basis of the information presented here, a valid calculation of one’s own market share in a freely selectable catchment area is possible. In addition to the market share calculation, a comparison of the case mix index and the average length of stay with the in-house §21 data is possible.

The DRG data can be filtered according to freely selectable districts and federal states.
